At Alameda Health System, teaching is central to our mission of “caring, healing, teaching, serving all.” We have a vibrant Internal Medicine residency program and are home to numerous other residencies across the spectrum of medical training. 

 

Our teaching and learning environment creates of culture of curiosity and enthusiasm for teaching, as well as an academic rigor and spirit that make Highland an excellent place to embark on one’s medical journey.

 The Highland Hospital Department of Medicine has played a central role in the education of medical students for decades. We pride ourselves in hosting rotations in hospital medicine, ICU, neurology, and numerous medical subspecialties.​
